Most of you know, but Kelly and I are going to be parents! Our current due date is August 13th. If the military moves us, it will be Georgia baby. We are both so very excited! Kelly would love a girl, but would love a boy too, and I don't care. Well, some days I want a girl, and others a boy. It depends on the mood, you know. :)
After being sick today, I decided to write some things for which I am grateful:
- The double bagged trash can in my office that caught my puke
- A private office
- Only having to talk to 3 patients about food today
- The perk of free beverages and refills at work so I could sip Sprite all day
- Saltines
- Boiled eggs, for some reason
- Text messages from Mom and Kelly
- A pregnant co-worker
- Sleep!
- Knowing that being sick means baby is healthy :)
- Kelly, because his excitement for being a dad reminds me to be excited
- And the black market nausea meds I got from my sister-in-law...haven't used em yet, but getting close!
Week 10 coming up on Friday...can't wait for Trimester 2! It'll be fun to start showing! Despite how I sound, I (and we) feel very blessed to soon become parents.

Yeah!!! Were excited for you guys too!!! It goes by really fast for those of us that aren't right there with you. I can't believe your already 10 weeks!
Congratulations Cassi!! I am so happy for you!! I completely understand the puking and nausea!! I have had it almost the whole pregnancy, so I feel for you!! :) BTW...Ginger Ale seemed to help sometimes!!
Wow thats so exciting! Don't worry by the time you have the baby (which right now seems like forever from now but trust me it comes really fast) you totally forget about all of the sick stuff (mostly). Congrats! Your baby will be born 6 weeks after mine (and Jenn Millers - she's due 3 days after me)! Oh and I totally agree with the ginger ale comment. It helps me out a lot.
Hey I found your blog!!! Its been forever. CONGRATS on having a baby coming! Boys are great:) I am having baby boy #2 in May. Hope you aren't too sick. Pregnancy is kinda fun, especially when you start to feel the fetus inside of you! Anyway, good to catch up on ya!
We are so excited for you both! I think you will have a girl but who knows. Sorry you are sick. I was sick for 29 weeks but it is more than worth it in the end. I haven't completely forgotten what it was like to be sick but I feel like I could do it again because of the outcome. Good luck with everything!
Cassi, I'm so excited for you!! I agree, I always take comfort in knowing that some one else it going through what I am too. (At the same time.) Time really will fly! And you'll get more excited as time goes on!
Wait till the baby comes... that is the real challenge ;) In the mean time tator tots and cherry limeaide. It was all I could ever stomach.
Congrats!! This is sooo exciting! We will have close babies in age! I can't wait to see what ur having! The sick part will end soon! Mine goes away at 14 weeks-ish. Goood luck! And a double thumbs up for sprite
I think you guys are having a girl. Hang in there Cass. It's awful and then it does get better. I feel so bad you have the job you have right now while your nauseous. Talking about food all day, that must be really hard. Another thing I ate alot of while I was first pregnant because it was one of the things that didn't make me sick: movie theater microwave popcorn. Go figure. Just a suggestion. Love you!
Very exciting, Cassi. I can empathise with what you're going through, but it really is a miracle and so amazing when you feel the baby move.
